How to Heal a Fibula Fracture

If a lag screw doesn't work to achieve compression, you can bail out to an anti-glide plate. A tension band plate can generate as much or more compression as a lag screw and achieve the same goal for healing. So that's sort of what I'm getting at when I talk about preoperative planning. You know, there's certainly the AO technique of tracing out fractures and, you know, writing out your reduction sequence but also plan B in case your first thing doesn't work.
