The Fifth Step Is Taking Notes as You Read

There's a huge, huge opportunity cost if you fall into this trap of needing to finish every book. So don't keep digging through it to try to find the gold that other people saw. It just may not work for you. And remember that if you can learn to put it down, you will avoid this problem of not reading because you don't enjoy the books that you're reading. The fifth step of the system is taking notes as you read. Especially if you're reading multiple books at a time, or your engaged in all kinds of other things, taking notes is so critical.
