"This is a film I think that would turn up more times than, than you would expect," says director. "It's not this sort of conniving controlled killer. It's somebody who's really out of control", he adds. 'I absolutely love the way we see from the killer's perspective,' said co-star Tom Hiddleston. "'Johnny Belinda' has such a through line to eventually arrive at the kind of traditional slasher at the end of the 70s."
