Is the Bank of England Trying to Take Water Out of a Tank?
The Bank of England is playing chicken with the government and saying, you safety nets gone. The prime minister said earlier today she is not going to change any of her tax policy. So the central bank is essentially telling the government if that's the case we are withdrawing from the picture. If this thing goes up in flames, it's you knowing that they're going to have to cave. But if they don't do it, they are themselves to blame for the continuation of the crisis.
