The Importance of Consciousness

Destiny says a person must have an immediate capacity for consciousness. Someone whose brain has to regrow does not have that capacity. A person might have existed before the injury. Maybe the person will come back after their healed. But under Destiny's view, no person can exist when the body is in a brain damaged coma. It seems unlikely that the same personality and memory will return if those areas of the brain have to be regrown.
