There's almost a givenness, i think, that we can't really get beneath when it comes to why we automatically assume that godis loving and good. And so the idea that god and a good god is a legacy of our judaa christian herety may well be right. It suggests why we do believe that jesus candof is the affirming principle at the centreof why we believe in a good go well.
