Pete Warded was a astrophysicist by training on a PhD. He ended up in the Air Force became a general and worked on Star Wars missile defense shield during Reagan era. Now, he ends up at NASA Ames, which was like the Silicon Valley NASA Center early 2000s. A lot of the startups in the book come right out from NASA Ames. And then Pete was the one who gave SpaceX, you know, Elon was funding SpaceX.
