The Relationship Between Desire and Desire in Jewish Songs
Sadhali: I think there are two, that almost two different registers of it. One is when you're overcome with Jewish songs and these other just everyday moments of Jewish songs that come throughout your life. And the second is outside of sort of this basis of lack and desire being kind of synonymous due to the discrepancy between the signifier and signified. We're driven by not our desire isn't driven by what perfectly accords within the symbolic, but what doesn't really add up and what doesn't fit in.
