How Is LISP Different From Other Languages?

We've had an episode in LISP before. I just checked it was episode 84 with Dick Gabriel. So if you're not familiar with LISP at least, you know, generally, then you should go back to episode 84. Richard would be a good idea if you introduced LISP basically, what are the fundamentals of LISP? How is LISP different from other languages? And maybe why is it special as many people would probably say.
