Is There a Preferential Preference for a Broader Hips?

The shape of the pelvis has been suggested as a secondary sexual characteristic. But does it have anything to do in any way with sexual selection? Different cultures have different ideas about what is beautiful or appealing, so i'm not super convinced thatthat there's some selective process going on. The visual broadness of an individual's hips is not just dictated by their bony anatomy, but by a lot of other aspects of anatomy too.
