Is the Input Really Feedback To, to the Hypotheses?
The idea is that the brain as it were always sort of dreams at the world or fantasizes at the world. So we have this, this constant ongoing set of expectations about what the world is like which drives our experience. And then we just sample to see if they are correct by dipping into the world and getting a little sensory sample in order to confirm that yes, our expectations were, were correct. It's really exciting because it tells us a story about the mind as being in a, in a space of its own," he says.
