The App Store doesn't really have access to the source code, but they probably scan the binary for like thimbles and things that might indicate malicious or private APIs. There's some capabilities that you have to flag it with to enable certain low little features such as JIT compilation. I found something here and I'm curious if you remember anything about it. So there has been a fork of OTP. And so that you guys are taking advantage of that, but it had actually been done way earlier too.
