How to Make Low Income Students More Receptive to Top Colleges

There is a big gap in terms of achievement and math and science and reading between low income students and middle class students. This book argues that we also need to focus on what students do outside of the classroom. Give them opportunities to explore, to get outside of their local environment so they have a different perspective. The other intervention I want to focus on is helping low income students craft narratives that can make them more receptive to top colleges.
