If you want to keep an opossum, you should become a certified wild life rehabilitation person. In the wild, they live about a year and a half. If it is a non releasable animal, then it should go to some one who knows how to take care of it. They will make a mess of your house because they want to nest.

Teeth. Tails. Concentric nipples.
