The Safety of Peripheral Vasopressors

We now have a randomized control trial saying that it may be safe to give peripheral vasopressors for some period of time Even at very high doses up to 30 something Micrograms per minute of norepineepion equivalent doses of dopamine. So now you actually have some support saying this may be safe now it better be a damn good IV I personally if I'm gonna do this would convert these over to a midline and we've done that before. But if you don't have these formal midline kits a pediatric IJ catheter or a femoral a line has all the stuff that it would take to convert a peripheral IV into One of these longer catheters.
