Designing a Homely Shelter
Wen Wen: Most designers think about the problem on a surface level, and therefore they don't have enough juice to propel them for an interesting solution. The home shelter should create a microcosm or small, smaller environmen where they could practise being citizens in public space before going back out into the real world. So the building becomes a setting that sets upan number of spaces to allow them to practice being a pracce in open spaces. But we need to have public spaces that feel likepublic spaces because i get oican people getting into trouble when they're not used to it. I'm not going to get into the question of forcing the homeless to conform to society?
