How to Add Punch to a Character's Words

If the reader has a good sense of who the character is and what the character is experiencing, the reader will hear the tone of the character's voice. Sometimes we can use action to show how the character is feeling as she speaks a dialogue. We can add an action after the dialogue, or before the dialogue if we don't think the dialogue is conveying what we want to. The main point is avoid dialogue tag modifiers.
