The Risks of a Reshuffle in the Shadows
There were lots of rumours that there be a reshuffle amongst the shadows straight after the locals now looks like that isn't going to happen. We would argue I think that reshuffling less than a year before general election is quite dangerous and can be quite counterproductive. There are a convention again that happens but they are pretty firmly embedded so we are expecting them to happen this autumn at least going into the new year. They are basically an opportunity for the shadows to meet certainly the permanent secretary of the department. And in theory they are to allow them to talk through their plans for government.
