How to Create a Spiral Wave

CNN's Jim Boulden and his colleagues at Georgia Tech created a rotating spiral wave. The students were told to get excited with their hands up, but not all the way to the top of the domain. When they did that, it started spinning in one direction from the beginning of the square until there was a 'face singularity' where the back and front met.
