Harvard's Policy on Race and Diversity

Harvard says it wants to deliberately create a culture and an environment on our campus where there's greater diversity. So essentially what they're saying is, look, if we did grades and test scores and extracurriculars and all of that stuff, we might have an entering class that is 30 to 35% Asian American when Asian Americans are way less than 5% of the population. And so this is actually not the first time these universities have done something like this because the other time was, of course, many of them intentionally discriminated against black students generations ago.
