What's the Most Difficult Aspect of Matthew's Gospel?

Matthew's quotations of which he has many where he says this happened in order to fulfill what was written by the prophet saying are surprising. The other thing I think it's difficult to understand is why Matthew chooses to start his gospel with that lengthy genealogy, all the names of, you know, A, begat B and B, begat C and so on. So that's another thing I think that makes Matthew a little off putting. Richard: How does chapters one to two of Matthew orient us to the rest of the gospel as it follows?
