Is There a Clause on Renewing the Treaty?

Under Article II of the 1961 China North Korea Treaty, Beijing has an obligation to defend North Korea in the event of unprovoked aggression. There were rumors that the treaty might not be renewed a few years ago. It has been renewed twice before and it came up for renewal in 2021. So how do you view the significance of the decision to renew the treaty? And are you certain that if North Korea started a war on the peninsula that the People's Liberation Army would automatically come to the defense of North Korea?
