Filming in Taipei
A lot of the movie was filmed surprisingly close to Taipei City. Another big foreign film was Lucy, a 2014 science fiction action film,. It's set partly in Taipei and stars Scarlett Johansson. The Taiwan scenes were filmed in Taipei, a pretty fast and furious shoot too. They went over to the East Coast to Hualien for some wild coastal scenery.
