The Power of the Get-Up Movement
I always think of Bernie Sanders going on a Fox News forum and talking about Medicare for all and getting a round of applause. He could not be walking into a more hostile environment, but by giving the space to talk through his ideas he won over an audience. And people are not as ideologically wedded as we would believe because I guess if you're working in politics all the time or in NGOs, you're very ideologically committed. Most people are living their lives and are not necessarily that invested. Our job as get-up is to reach the middle of Australia and to talk to people who are persuadable.
