Evidence based practice as a term has been around for about two decades now and I think unfortunately it's come to mean things that one SACET never really originally intended. There is no evidence that just applying science into clinical practice is going to give me give us the best efficacy and also give us wise clinical decisions. What we do need is the integration of clinical expertise and science and it needs to be based on the patients values and goals so if you had to ask me to choose which one should drive like if I had to put a hierarchy on it, I would put clinical expertise above the science because it's ultimately your clinical expertise that gives you the ability to make wise decisions  I don
