"I was on an unprecedented you know when someone gets signed up for a show it's usually a year contract and then if the show doesn't work out they pay them out," he says. "After that year was up they said we want to switch you to a contract that renews week to weekYeah this is what I'm not kidding I'm not laughing I'm not joking so we said we can't do that because we hire writers and they're on 13 week contracts so you can't", Kevin Hart adds. He also talks about his relationship with former co-host David Letterman, who has since left SNL.
