She was fired from her previous job at USAID and sent a letter to her boss about bad management practices. Clarence Thomas sees this mail and is like, well, she seems really smart. I want to hire her. So he hires her, then, you know, we get all the sexual harassment stuff, then she gets fired. She literally sits in an office in the Capitol waiting to be called for the hearing and she never does. The Senate committee doesn't want to call her to testify because she's been fired. It had nothing to do with sexual harassment. This is another thing to just like all the people that came forward with sexual harassment claims back then were just such bad asses.
