Introduction

Richard Sirabji is an emeritus professor of philosophy at King's College London. He has been running a translation series, The Ancient Commentators Project, for many years. His project to translate the ancient commentators on Aristotle was rejected by the National Endowment for the Humanities. Richard says he wrote to 50 colleagues and said this would be impossible - but they all backed him up.
