Backlog is a list of things that wer sposed to get done but didn't get done, and that we have to get done. The best teams are thinking critically about what informs the road map. Road map implies a level of critical thinking that backlog does not. Backlogs can maybe be valuable in some environments where you're accounting for every little thing.
