The Unfairness of the Budget

Poverty and inequality charities have found that the word 'unfairness' doesn't resonate with people in focus groups. People can imagine themselves perhaps earning that money one day. And so they don't like the idea that they might have to give so much of it away. So i would say that labour has to think twice before perhaps falling into a tory trap on this. We've been doing research since january into public perceptions of wealth and salary and class, we've found that people aren't actually that riled up about high pay or tax cuts for people on high pay.
