How to Blend Genres Properly in Movies
The best examples of successful movies in genre that we have today are blends of multiple kinds of genres. And yet it's also an area that is so fraught with danger because many writers don't know how to combine them properly. So for example, a film like Inception, extremely popular, you break it down, you realize it's a science fiction, heist movie. Now, we don't put those together, right? If you're the guy that put that together first time, you corner the market, and it's just a brilliant strategy.
