The Paralysis of Initiation in Children

A lot of us grew up in situations where we also were raised in an environment of coercive control. If you get pissed at the guards, what happens? The guards aren't going to apologize. They're going to actually punish me for it. And so then if you sort of stop and think about it, what's happening in your brain? What is the lesson that your brain learns?
