Socrates' Dimonion
Socrates uses the term dimonion, a divine figure. Sometimes translated to talk about an experience he says he had from youth of hearing a voice which guided him. There'sare some controversy as to whether he entirely guided him against doing something that would be harmful. He decided that this voice would guide him, no whatever it meant. Maybe he had a certain kind of instinct, but he heard it as a voice. I also speculate that maybe there was an early trormer of some kind that led him to hear voices,. and that he then won this voice round.
