The boys profiled in this piece, published in june 19 85, hated it because it made them look like vacuous party animals and uneducated charlatans. Theyare knocked for largely not attending acting school or graduating from college as though some of the greatest stars in hollywood history hadn't been fully unschooled. After saint elmo's fire and another hit of the same year, about last night, low continued to get a lot of press, but more for his sex life than his screen work. The one thing that does seem clear is that by 19 88, he understood that time was running out if anyone was going to take him seriously.
