The Biblical Doctrine of Human Equality

The Bible provides a robust basis for an understanding of human equality. Everyone comes to God on the same basis requiring his grace, and so that's a very strong basis for equality within the Christian tradition. But it also leads I think to a basis for democracy. And this is really C.S. Lewis's argument. He says, most philosophers actually are Democrats because they think that human beings are really, really good.
