How Does God Ask Us to Build the Kingdom of God?

Jesus uses an analogy to get his audience to understand the role of John and also to help people. He says, for John came neither eating nor drinking and they say he hath a devil. It's interesting that Jesus contrasts this with other people who in their own minds thought they were building the kingdom of God by using violence. And I see this as an invitation for all of us to say, well how is God asking us to build the kingdom ofGod?
