The Importance of Pastoral Writing
After seven years of very intense work as a priest in two different parishes I actually got quite close to burnout. My bishop kindly he saw my distress and he kindly gave me three months of sabbatical said you can do what you like. The other vocation the poets vocation kind of came swimming across and joined hands with the priest vocationists say write poems for your life. And so George Herbert 17th century priest poet who didn't his poems went published till after he died but he faithfully served his parish in this little church in Vamerton.
