Sell a Lot of Units
The move is to make almost nothing on the hardware. The goal here is long term, not short term and you need developers. Sell a lot of them. Doesn't have to be $300 headset. It'll work for some like people who are really hardcore Apple indie developers in the day just love doing stuff for Apple. But like you need to build this platform. And the only way you can really do that is by selling units.
