The Economics of Apologies

There's this idea floating around the medical community that it's dangerous to apologize, that never apologize. 36 states have passed what are called i'm sorry laws. This is something that actually was brought to the federal level by two junior senators named boracco bama and hilary clinton. States that passed these laws saw faster settlements of lawsuits. Andt te law suits that did happen settled for lower dollar amounts,. right about by about 20 % lower. So we found that just these words that that people use,  have big economic consequences, adding up to billions of dollars.
