The pharmacy benefit managers also have a tremendous influence over the pharmacies. Their pricing is set and if you don't charge your patients that retail price and they find out about it, they will cut you off. They do nothing but negotiate pricing between manufacturers, insurance and pharmacies. So how does this exist? At some point someone must have put legislation here to make sure everything's on the up and up.
