Theological Argument for Definite Atonement
We confess the doctrine of particular redemption because it's stated positively in the scriptures but I think a theological argument could also be made for this doctrine. It would stress the agreement between God's decree of election and eternity passed on the work of Christ on the cross in human history. And we all have to fit together, you can't have one without the other. In the next podcast that we do to talk about irresistible grace or effectual calling and how that flows out of the doctrine of election and the doctrine of atonement.
