Is the Barrier to Robotics a Matter of Software Engineering Design?
In the next 20 or 30 years, you're probably going to see pretty large changes in how your cars work and what goes on in your home through just the expansion of robotic technology. Are software tools 100 times better than they were 50 years ago? Maybe. But they're not anywhere near a million times better. So I think what you may be seeing is just sort of the end of this paradigm of IT in the beginning of the next.
