In June 2022, the State Department announced that US diplomats and their family members impacted by Havana syndrome would get a year of medical assistance. Then on March 1, 2023, there was a multi-intelligent agency report that studied it for several years and established they have no evidence supporting the idea that a foreign adversary is behind the so-called Havana syndrome reported by personnel. Most of the cases investigated appear to have different causes from environmental factors to undiagnosed illnesses. According to the officials who said that they had not found a single explanation for all or even most of the reports, instead officials said there is evidence that foreign countries were not involved.
