Do We Give AI the Same Status as a Human Being?
The idea of moving the goalpost is fascinating because I never thought about it in that respect. Every time that an AI or a robot can do something that we equate to human, I guess, intelligence, we sort of move the goalpost again and go, yeah, well, it may have form of intelligence, but it doesn't have this. Do you think we're just going to continuously move the goalposts to stay one step ahead? Or do you think at some point we're going to not overvalue AI, but start devaluing what it means to be human to allow for AI and robots to assert their personhood?
