Can We Transcend Bias?

Kant and a certain enlightenment tradition has this idealistic idea that you can get to the truth using reason. Heidegger who argues that the meaning of being is care, he says. God or murder has this line that prejudice which I guess in America we think of as a bad thing prejudices understood philosophically as prejudgment prejudice is a condition for the possibility of truth. Where do you stand on that debate let's say between the universalistic approach and which thinks that we can transcend bias and the romantic view that we should double down on it?
