A father and mother isn't just about one's genetic relationship. These are terms that are ultimately associated with covenantal responsibilities. Anybody can be a dad, but he's looking for father not genetics. honouring thy father and mother promptly ties back to some degree of covenant tionship again. And by the way, you can see that definition of fatherhood in the new testament with the e the prodigal son.
