Burning Man Is a Gift Economy
Gifts come as rewards for just living a glorious life. There's something in the collective unconscious of that plia that's different, and the rules don't apply. I remember one story from burningman, which i'll never forget. We parked all our bikes and we made a pile of all our jackets, and we just started dancing. And underneath all our coats, somebody had left us a half drank bottle of jim beam. This is part of the understanding that the ply provides - there is no monet exchange other than giving out on the palaya. So there's certain things that have happened in this little microcosm, which is why burning man is different than any other festival
