The Inflation Reduction Act Is the Biggest Climate Act in the United States

The Inflation Reduction Act allocates around 370 billion to invest in renewable energy, make EVs more affordable and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This is by far the biggest piece of climate legislation the US has ever enacted. Some environmentalists have criticized it for including provisions that would also benefit the fossil fuel industry. "There are very few fossil incentives directly in the bill," he says.
