Sky News and ITV - Is That a Breach of Journalistic Ethics?
Ofcom announced today that they're going to effectively intervene in this case and ask Sky News and ITV to explain themselves. I guess the point about the press is that there is an editor at the helm each time. There is somebody who is making these calls on behalf of a whole team of journalists and indeed a whole army of readers. At the moment there doesn't seem to be any regulator that has teeth or maybe even the will to hold editors to account. Well that's where you've got a completely different Emily between broadcasters who are regulated by Ofcom and the rest of the media particularly the press.
