Foundations, Their Power and Influence

I'm going to do a series of some of Alan's talks and excerpts from his talks where he talks about foundations and how they shape policy. And one of the things I wonder if I marked it here because it is kind of interesting. Many of these foundations were done strictly for tax avoidance or tax reduction, but the idea that they were contributing to the improvement of public welfare was an untruth. But in the ensuing years between the sixties and today, that has kind of been put aside. So that's one example of what foundations can do.
